On Wednesday 26th June a group of amazing singers and dancers from Norton Primary Academy attended NETfest at The Glass House in Gateshead. The atmosphere was electric as they performed, “On the Edge of Great,” from Julie and The Phantoms.  The children were more than happy to express their views on their memorable day.

“It was an amazing experience and one I couldn’t forget, as I got to perform on a big stage in front of my family and all of the other academies too. We could watch other acts and cheer them on and we got the cheer we wanted. For an all-day activity, it was really worth it as the performance we did blew the audience away,” –exclaimed Amelia (Year 5).

Maali (also Year 5) added, “It was a great experience and it was really different from the last time I went. There was a great audience and also, I had got to share it with my friends. I also think that lots of hard work was put into the performance. We were proud to be on the stage.”

“I thought it was a really good day because it gave a chance for all academies in NET to perform together and put on a really good show. We also had an amazing day because we got to share music and dancing together and had an amazing time with those who joined in.” expressed Theo Y4

Finally, Theo (Year 6) voiced all our thoughts when he said, “I thought it was a great experience to be in one of the most important places in England. It was fun and wonderful to see other people performing. We had a fantastic time. It gave us a chance to be brave in front of many people.”
