Having Fun Outdoors
We are delighted to share recent improvements to our outdoor provision, designed to ensure all children can fully enjoy their break and lunchtime experiences. The impact has already been incredibly positive, with noticeable improvements in behaviour and wellbeing. It has been a pleasure to see so many smiling faces and rosy cheeks across the playground!
Our staff have embraced the changes just as enthusiastically as the pupils, joining in with games and helping to create a vibrant, active atmosphere for everyone.
The playground has now been thoughtfully organised into a range of zones to support different types of play. These include areas for construction, ball games, sand play, a mud kitchen, as well as spaces for scooters and bikes. Recently we had a brand new “Trim Trail” installed which is proving to be very popular across all year groups. With such a variety of options available, there is truly something for everyone to enjoy.
In addition, our KS2 Playground Activity Leaders play an important role in leading activities on a rota. They help to ensure that all children feel included, while also introducing and demonstrating new games to keep playtimes fresh and engaging.
We are incredibly proud of the positive play culture developing across our school and look forward to seeing it continue to flourish.
