Rememberance 2024
A selection of children represented our school with such grace this week when they attended the Remembrance service led by Rev Martin of St Marys church in Norton. Alongside other Norton schools, the children completed activities related to peace and hope for the future and learnt a little more about why we acknowledge Remembrance in our country. They then took part in the formal Service of Remembrance and observed the minutes silence. A wreath was laid by Head Student, Freddie to pay our respects as a school for all those that fought and died during the world wars and wars since. It was a very sombre yet hopeful event as we had time to reflect on how we can bring peace in our schools and local communities. “I was honoured to represent the school,” Freddie Y6.
