Carnival Fever
Every summer break, pupils from Norton Primary Academy take part in the community carnival as part of the Stockton Riverside Festival (SIRF). Boasting some of the best artists and performers from across the world, SIRF brings magical and exciting performances, stunning visual experiences, dance and live music. The carnival theme this year was JOY. Pupils participated in a series of workshops during the summer term, producing stunning, vibrant costumes. On the day, it provided an opportunity for staff and pupils to give something back to the local community, see old faces and meet new people. Together with other community groups, they ignited colour and life into the High Street as they paraded in front of hundreds of people, creating a real positive vibe: everyone was caught up in the party atmosphere.
