Year 4, 5 and 6 Trip to Newby Wiske Activity Centre (PGL)

During some amazing summer weather here on Teesside, a fantastic group of children aged 8 and upwards were given the opportunity to go to a local Parents Get Lost (PGL) Centre, near Northallerton, in Newby Wiske. The newest adventure centre, nestled in North Yorkshire’s countryside, only opened in March 2023 and due to COVID-19 restrictions on residentials over the last few years, everyone was so excited.

The children had the opportunity to participate in a range of thrill seeking, team-building and adventurous activities over the course of 3 days and 2 nights. For many, this was the first time staying away from their families and an opportunity to gain a sense of independence, in which they all thoroughly flourished. A fantastic time was had by all, the only issue was that 3 days was not enough. Let’s hope we can return again next year!
